Over the past two years, we’ve heard consistently from CEO’s, business developers, and HR professionals, like you, that finding highly qualified employees is one of your biggest challenges. In response, Life Science Washington and partnering companies, are launching a nationwide talent recruitment campaign to bolster your efforts recruiting top talent to Washington.

The cost-effective and targeted campaign will include a micro-website, video assets, and paid social media and advertising to promote the thriving unique industry, abundant job opportunities for job seekers and their spouses, and quality of life that can only be found in the Pacific Northwest. We’re calling the campaign “Find Your Best Life in Washington.”

With funding from Celgene, Adaptive Biotechnologies, AGC Biologics, Alder BioPharmaceuticals, nanoString, Omeros, Sana Biotechnology, and Seattle Genetics, we have secured commitments to launch the campaign. But, we are at a critical point, we need a few additional companies to join the campaign as founding members to sustain the campaign for the long-term. Founding members will get to help shape the campaign and your company will be featured prominently through video content and on the recruiting website. The financial commitment required to make this a reality is probably less than you would spend recruiting a single employee!

We are in the very early stages of this project. Now is the time to join with Life Science Washington and make this a wildly successful campaign! If you are interested in being a founding partner of our talent recruitment campaign, please email us lifesciencewa@lifesciencewa.org.

AUTM Bio Manufacturing Partnering Forum

The Bio Manufacturing Partnering Forum (held in conjunction with AUTM’s 2019 Western Region Meeting) will explore how academia and industry can collaborate to validate and scale innovative manufacturing technologies to improve the production of biological therapeutics. Critical issues such as how to speed innovation, how to develop standards that enable more efficient and rapid manufacturing capabilities, and how to educate and train a world-leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing workforce will be examined.

The Forum will feature Dr. Patrick Y. Yang of Sana Biotech, a gene and cell therapy company based in Seattle. This is a "can't miss" keynote address.
