Connect with your peers to meet the unique challenges your Organization faces.
(Open to ALL WBBA Members)
The goal of this group is to give people who are responsible for “getting the word out” for their respective organizations a closed-forum to discuss the unique issues, problems and challenges that face the people within these organizations who are charged with fulfilling the role of communications, public relations, marketing, community outreach and investor relations, whether by specific title or by having it as one of their responsibilities.

Clean Science Group
(Open to any WBBA member interested in clean science and sustainability)
The goal of the WBBA Clean Science Group is to have a variety of representatives of the region's life science community dialoguing about solutions to minimize the impact of our scientific pursuits on the region. We also want to educate each other on the systems that are currently available to reduce, reuse, and recycle, and the associated costs of such systems. Biotech is an industry reliant on sterile, one-use products to ensure high quality research. This process generates a lot of waste. Is biotech doing everything it can to reduce waste, and increase recycling? Are we sacrificing the health of our planet for the health of people? Is there a way to create science that is clean and healthy for both the planet and for the people we are trying to heal? Are you interested in dialoguing about creating clean science? If so, then join the WBBA Clean Science Group on LinkedIn. We would like to have participation from various groups in the lab including facilities, operations, and lab managers. Together, we can help heal people, progress science and have a healthy place to live.

BLEND was started by consultants with decades of management consulting experience, working primarily in the Life Sciences Industry. We decided it was more important to focus on specific IT needs rather than try to be everything to everyone. While at the Big 5 consulting firms, we realized that our relationships with the clients was too distant, too corporate. We like to have a more personal relationship, one built on confidence and trust. We like to think of ourselves as smoke-jumpers. We are the specialists that are brought in to fix an impossible problem, and to allow your team to become productive again. We accomplish this by working closely with you and your team; by providing guidance, not simply handing over the fix. We want to empower our clients, not alienate them. We have over 20 years of consulting experience as Global Systems Integrators, focusing on Enterprise Systems Architecture, Technical Program Management, Solution and Business Architecture, and Business Development.

Summit Law Group, PLLC
Summit Law Group rejected the traditional law firm model and started from scratch to design a modern law firm founded on a single principle: customer service. We formed Summit Law Group to revolutionize the way legal services are provided to law firm customers. Most law firms provide legal services in the same way that they did 25 years ago. Those firms focus on lawyers, not customers. Their practice model relies on large numbers of people billing large numbers of hours, often without regard for the value of the work to the customer. We reject that model. We believe that the market for legal services has dramatically changed in the last decade. Our mission is to think creatively and proactively in formulating the most effective and efficient solutions to your legal needs.

Guide's home monitoring service for heart failure patients helps them live confidently in their homes, and stay out of the hospital. Guide leverages new technology and family relationships to help patients stick to their care plan, recognize exacerbation early, and make better decisions about how to respond. Patients wear an ankle bracelet, use a smart pill box, and interact with a mobile application. Guide uses these devices to monitor daily weight changes, ankle swelling, activity levels and medication doses. We issue reminders and alerts, present education topics and conduct surveys and simple stress tests as needed. Guide alerts family caregivers when patients depart from their care plan and alerts clinicians when changes in symptoms exceed threshold values. The anklet detects ankle swelling and activity levels. The pill box records dosage events. Using a mobile app, the patient records weight daily, occasionally answers questions about how they feel and performs modest activity testing as needed to collect diagnostic data. Data is regularly transmitted via Bluetooth 4.0 to a remote server. The Guide service analyzes the data in real time and routes messages to the patient, family or clinician.
