The Pharmaceutical Division of Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT Pharma) is dedicated to healthcare through discovery and development of "First-in-Class" drugs which change the patient's life for the better. Executives from JT Pharma will be in Seattle February 28 and March 1 for a Plenary Session and 1:1 meetings with local companies, entrepreneurs, and research groups.

 

Japan Tobacco 1:1 Meeting Opportunity:

JT Pharma is seeking partnering opportunities for collaborative research at early R&D phases, as well as in-licensing opportunities of preclinical – clinical phase assets. JT Pharma is also looking to meet with companies possessing novel, cutting-edge drug R&D technologies.

 

Collaborative research at early phases:

Focus on identification and development of orally active small molecule therapeutics

Diseases of interest:

·         Diabetes

·         Sarcopenia

·         Chronic heart failure

·         Multiple sclerosis

·         Fibrosis

·         HIV latency

·         HBV

·         Dyslipidemia/Atherosclerosis

·         Diabetic complications

·         Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

·         Peripheral artery disease

·         Inflammatory bowel disease

·         Systemic lupus erythematosus

·         Chronic kidney disease

 

In-licensing at clinical phases:

Focus on development of small molecules, proteins, antibodies, or nucleic acid as therapeutics in Japan

Diseases of interest:

·         Renal diseases

·         Allergic diseases

·         Dermatological diseases

 

Drug R&D technologies:

Technologies related to translational research using cell culture, isolated cellular organelles and related mechanisms; HTS technologies; protein structure analysis; chemical biology, chemical synthesis, and chemical libraries; biophysical tools; in silico technologies; biomarkers and bioinformatics.
